This week we visited the beautiful vineyard of Morosanto, located in the countryside of Ronda, the legendary romantic village in Málaga (near to Arriate village). It belongs to Sierra de Ronda DOP.
There, we were hosted by Ana Belén Sánchez Lara, charming cicerone who explained us perfectly all the ins and outs of the winery.
Esta semana visitamos el precioso viñedo de Morosanto, situado en en la campiña de Ronda, la legendaria ciudad romántica de Málaga (cerca del pueblo de Arriate). Pertenece a la DOP Sierra de Ronda.
Allí fuimos recibidos por Ana Belén Sánchez Lara, una cicerone encantadora que nos explicó perfectamente los entresijos de la bodega.

The vines are in complete "explosion" with the well developed bunches. These wines are the personal caprice of Miguel, the owner and an art-lover too.
Our guide explained us kindly the production process. We could see the winemaker working, the tanks for the alcoholic fermentation, the destemmer, the barrels cellar. After that, we tasted the main wines of Morosanto: El buen puntito, Morosanto Rosé, a white one made with chardonnay and viognier, Lucio and Lunera.
Las viñas están en explosión total con los racimos bien desarrollados. Estos vinos son el capricho personal de Miguel, el dueño, también un amante del arte.
Nuestra guía nos explicó amablemente el proceso de producción. Pudimos ver a la enóloga trabajando, los tanques para la fermentación alcohólica, la despalilladora, la bodega de las barricas. Después, catamos los principales vinos de Morosanto: El buen puntito, Morosanto Rosé, un blanco elaborado con chardonnay y viognier, Lucio y Lunera.
I like the most El buen puntito, a young red, especially thought for tapas and starters, and, above all, Lucio (made with tempranillo and syrah) and Lunera (made with petit verdot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah), both with aging (18 months for Lunera).
Los que más me gustaron fueron El buen puntito, un tinto joven especialmente pensado para entrantes y tapas y, sobre todo, Lucio (elaborado con tempranillo y syrah) y Lunera (elaborado con petit verdot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah) ambos con crianza (18 meses para Lunera).

We also could be witnesses of a working meeting where the winemaker, the owner and the business manager, Javier, drew up the winery strategy for the next year.
The best end for a lovely day, that began visiting this beautiful winery, was to come by Ronda, the magic Andalusian town to take coffe close to its historic bullring and see the panoramic view of the Tajo.
También pudimos ser testigos de una reunión de trabajo donde la enóloga, el propietario y el director comercial, Javier, dibujaron la estrategia de la bodega para el próximo año.
El mejor final para un día encantador, que comenzó visitando esta bonita bodega, fue pasarnos por Ronda, la mágica ciudad andaluza, para tomar café junto a su histórica plaza de toros y ver la panorámica del Tajo.
