Last week we received the visit of a nice group of friends, wine lovers, who were introduced to the world of wine by María in a fine tasting.
La semana pasada recibimos la visita de un estupendo grupo de amigos, enamorados del vino, a los que María introdujo en el mundo del vino en una bonita cata.
This time María offered 6 wines to our guests: two from Urbezo winery, white and rosé, manzanilla Lustau, Picos de Cabariezo mencía, Irving Crianza and L'effecte volador.

The tasting began with the usual powerpoint presentation to explain the main tasting and wine concepts.
La cata comenzó con la habitual presentación en powerpoint para explicar los principales conceptos de la cata y el vino.
This group of friends was willing to know, so the sommelier answered many questions before the tasting itself started.
Este grupo de amigos estaba deseoso de saber, por lo que la sumiller respondió a muchas preguntas antes de que la cata misma comenzase.
The dishes and the wines:
Organic Urbezo chardonnay and Organic Urbezo rosé from Cariñena DO paired with goat cheese and corn salad with cane syrup.
Manzanilla Lustau (Sherry DO) and Picos de Cabariezo mencía (Vinos de Cantabria IGP) for Pumpkin style of Lecrin Valley with pieces of toast and quail eggs.

Our guests were delighted by the white chardonnay, the rest of wines and the range of dishes.
Nuestros invitados se deleitaron con el blanco chardonnay, el resto de vinos y la variedad de platos.
That being said, other nice moments were the chat, the questions, the curiosities, the moment of the aftertasting and the coffee.
Sin perjuicio de lo dicho, otros agradables momentos fueron la charla, las preguntas, las curiosidades, el momento posterior a la cata y el café.
Of course, we would be pleased with a new visit: the group ask for a cava tasting and María is now planning it :-)
Desde luego, estaríamos encantados con una nueva visita: el grupo se interesó por una cata de cavas y María está ya organizándola :-)
