Tasting of Verum wines at Pilar del Toro, Granada (November 2014)

Verum winery is a quite good winery from Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, belonging to DOP Castilla-La Mancha. They are focused on elegant, dry white wines and sparkling wines like "Gran Cueva" as well as spirits called "aguardientes". They have been awarded in several international meetings.

I met José Andrés Jiménez, wise man in charge of the Commercial Deparment of the winery for many years. Wise and pleasant.

Pîlar del Toro is well known in Granada for its andalusian atmosphere, its tapas and the ancient patio where we enjoyed the evening.
